Oblex is compliance software that centralizes an organization’s legal obligations in one matrix: what has to be complied with, which unit is responsible, which evidence proves it, and the status of each obligation.

How it works

  • Obligations per article. AI models analyze each regulation, working from the official text that the Library of the National Congress publishes in LeyChile, with its structure of titles, articles and transitional provisions. For every article Oblex proposes the concrete obligations: required action, applicable sanction, criticality and suggested evidence.
  • A matrix, not a chat. Detected obligations are added to the institution’s matrix, assigned to the responsible unit and tracked with their evidence and status. Answers cite the articles they rely on.
  • Traceability. Unlike a shared spreadsheet, the record keeps who marked an obligation as fulfilled and why, and the evidence stays attached to it.
  • Workspaces. A plan covers a workspace with its institutions, members and a shared AI quota.

Architecture

Four pieces run in production, and a Cloudflare Worker routes oblex.cl between them: application routes (dashboard, sign-in, invitations, admin) go to the app, everything else to the marketing site.

  • App: React 19, TypeScript, Vite and React Router 7, with Tailwind CSS 4, shadcn/ui (Radix) and Zustand. The chat is built with assistant-ui and connects to the agent through the LangGraph SDK, with streamed responses. Deployed to Firebase Hosting with GitHub Actions. It replaced an earlier Angular 21 front end.
  • Marketing site: static Astro with content collections for the blog and topic pages, deployed to Cloudflare Pages.
  • Agent and API: Node 22, TypeScript and Express. A LangChain/LangGraph ReAct agent with tools and checkpoints stored in Postgres, exposed over HTTP following LangGraph’s Agent Protocol. Models are consumed through OpenRouter’s OpenAI-compatible API, including embeddings for semantic search. Chilean regulations come from an in-house library that queries LeyChile; the agent can also search the web and generate .docx documents. Tested with Vitest and deployed with GitHub Actions.
  • Data: self-hosted Supabase in Docker (Postgres, GoTrue for authentication, PostgREST). pgvector stores regulation fragments for semantic search, and a trigger-based audit log records every change with its author.
  • Services: Flow.cl for payments and subscriptions, Zoho for email, and Cloudflare for DNS and CDN.
